One Layer Away brings Seth Apter's mixed-media, art-journal aesthetic to quilting cotton  layered kaleidoscope mosaics, grid and graph patterns, mesh dot textures, patchwork overlays, and soft ombré washes that all read like collaged paper and weathered texture rather than traditional florals or geometrics. The palette is earthy and muted: rust, ochre, and desert tan run alongside ash gray, dusty ocean blue, celestial teal, and a soft lilac, giving the whole collection a worn, layered depth that pairs easily with modern and art-quilt styles alike.
